  • Fixed epoll test cleanup on Python 3.15 by @honglei
  • Added Python 3.15 and free-threaded variant to test and release CI matrix
  • Fixed 2 flakinesses in tests

pyOpenSSL 25.3 doesn't support Python 3.15t Bump to pyOpenSSL 26.4 for python>3.8
cibuildwheel 3.2 doesn't support Python 3.15 Bump to 4.2 for python>3.8
cryptography 50.0.1 lacks wheels for Python 3.15t and Intel macOS Install OpenSSL 3 and other build dependencies to compile cryptography from source
Universal2 build settings unnecessarily make test dependencies target both architectures Build test dependencies for arm64 only and test Intel wheels separately

Fix races in thread checks and subprocess tests

Serialize foreign-thread scheduling calls with the running loop in test_check_thread to avoid corrupting libuv state on free-threaded Python. Wait for the subprocess protocol connection_lost callback before asserting pipe shutdown stages.

Thank you for the PR! I added 3.15 in the CI matrix and fixed some more racing/flaky tests in freethread interpreters.

Add Python 3.15 and 3.15t release wheel builds

Use cibuildwheel 4.2 for Python 3.9+ while retaining 3.2 for Python 3.8. Pair runners with architectures explicitly, testing macOS x86_64 wheels on Intel and universal2 wheels on arm64.

Install native OpenSSL and Linux container dependencies for wheel tests, use native build flags for universal2 test dependencies, and pass the GitHub CI marker into Linux containers.
