Describe the bug
Terrible experience with loading mcp, plugins, etc, on boot.
First, the user is required to wait for it to load before they can start working with the CLI. This should all be async. Maybe it is fine for an individual developer, but for someone working in a large repo with many teams, where there may be many "standard" mcps/plugins that are "recommended", which a particular session may not need, waiting for all of it to load before you can start using the CLI is just bad experience.
Second, if there's a problem loading an mcp or a plugin, it may just get stuck. I had an experience where the CLI would just keep retrying loading a broken plugin forever as I recall.
Please don't block UI thread/interaction.
On top of that, in the input line, delete doesn't delete the text, only backspace works, there's no Ctrl-A to select text, Shift-Arrow selections don't work for me either.
This is just basic stuff.
Thank you. (this is my 4th attempt to share this feedback using slash-feedback, the experience couldn't be more complicated...)
Affected version
Copilot v1.0.93-1
Steps to reproduce the behavior
No response
Expected behavior
Be delightful
Additional context
No response
